Discover Armagnac, France's oldest spirit, celebrating its 700th anniversary in this appreciation workshop presented by Valerie Blayac from Spirits of France. Your evening of sensory discovery will include tastings of three Armagnacs and two Cognacs, accompanied by chocolates from Monsieur Truffe at his café in Smith St.

Come and join us for a Cultural and culinary tour de France in July on your bikes! Byo bikes to celebrate the Tour de France!

A bit of an opportunity to digest on the Saturday Food tour as we ride our bikes from Fitzroy to Carlton and to the CBD. No problem for parking and no guilty after thoughts following the chocolate tasting and pastries from Monsieur Truffe.
So by the time we get to lunch at Bistro Vue, we have worked a new appetite!

Last but not least, we run an exclusive Armagnac and chocolate workshop with Valérie from Spirits of France and Thibault from Monsieur Truffe at the convent bakery. I must say I particularly like that one (being from Gascogne).

This Saturday we stopped on our food tour at the Vegetable connection for the salt of Guérande and French olive oil tasting and we found the big mushroom..

55 students from St Leonard College on the Campus Brighton discovered French cheeses and charcuterie through a French presentation, quizzes and tastings!

An innovative and fun way for French students to discover more French vocab and culture!

Cassis finished its first year on a high note with several corporate events in late November and December to celebrate the end of the year!
There were plenty of opportunities to make it to Boire, which Françoise and I really enjoyed!

The November event not to be missed is the Chocolate appreciation masterclass with Laurent Meric on Friday 13th November in the Cacao shop in Fitzroy St, St Kilda.
A reminder that Cassis clients can enjoy a 10% discount for this event. 

With a very international group last Saturday, two French madames, one American lady and her husband from New Zealand, we enjoyed a great start at Mr Truffe.

Last Friday we took a tour with a lovely couple and we were quite impressed as there were some in depth conversation held with Tim from Books for Cooks.

Last saturday we had another Cultural and culinary tour de France. I have to mention Bonnie on the blog (I promised) who joined us as she did so well in French last term. Thanks mum! Not a bad "well done at school" present..

This was a slightly different tour this Friday as we took a group of five French dames (ladies) through the tour de France.
